World Communion Sunday is a time to be in communion with Christians all over the world and to enable us to "press on toward the goal" of serving God in life-changing ministries. It is observed on the first Sunday of October. Fifty per cent of the special offering goes to the World Communion Scholarship Program of the General Board of Global Ministries.
This year we at PUMC will address on this special Sunday the Persecuted Church Around the World. We take for granted in this country the freedom to worship as we choose, there are many countries where people risk their lives to follow Jesus. Join us on October 2 as we unite with brothers and sisters in Christ around the Lord’s Table.
